Founder Stephanie Pfundt's vision for Frontier Music School emerged from her own musical journey in Petersburg, Alaska. Growing up in a small community, she experienced firsthand the challenges of accessing top-tier music education. During her college years as a vocal and piano performance major, Stephanie realized that the quality of private music instruction in her formative years could have significantly enhanced her opportunities for scholarships and acceptance into prestigious music programs.

After a decade of rigorous secondary education, working with dozens of America's top vocal teachers and achieving success in numerous competitions, Stephanie was driven by a transformative mission. She sought to create a bridge for rural communities—and ultimately, students from every corner of the world—to access the caliber of private music education previously limited to metropolitan areas.
